A. M. Shaw was raised in Nashville, the daughter of educators. She has been a writer since she was 12 and has been an avid book enthusiast all her life. When not working on her creative endeavors, she works as a senior production manager of technical books.
She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, two cats, and fish.
